Best Granola

This recipe is high grade distilled arcanity.

Ingredients

Dry

  • 2 kg slow-cooking rolled oats
  • 1 kg pumpkin seeds
  • 1 kg sunflower seeds
  • 500 g cashew pieces
  • 500 g walnut pieces
  • 250 g hazelnuts

Wet

  • 180 ml (¾ cup) molasses
  • 375 ml (1 ½ cups) tahini
  • 90 ml (6 tablespoons) water
  • 10 ml (2 teaspoons) vanilla

Toast, then add

  • 500 g sliced almonds
  • 500 g cranberries

Instructions

Step 1: Mix drys

Mix together the dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Step 2: Mix wets

Mix together the wet ingredients in another bowl or jug.

Step 3: Combine

Add wets to drys and stir well to combine.

Step 4: Bake

Bake at about 325 °F (163 °C), checking and stirring at 22 minutes and again 15 minutes later (about 37 minutes total cook time).

Step 5: Toast almonds

Toast or pan-fry the sliced almonds.

Step 6: Cranberries

Chop the cranberries.

Step 7: Finish

Add the toasted almonds and cranberries to the final baked mix.

Step 8: Jar it

Put the whole shebang in neat big jars and give yourself a pat on the back.
